HALLOCK AREA COMMUNITY FUND RECEIVES GIFT FOR POOL PROJECT
The Hallock Area Community Fund (HACF) received a $5,000 gift from the Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) to help replace the Hallock community pool. The pool was built in the 1950s and has always been a summer gathering place for children and families in Kittson County.
The money will be used to work with an experienced grant writer to secure the majority of the funding for this project. “It is exciting to see our community fund becoming an engine to move some of our critical community projects forward,” said Todd Johnson, HACF chair.
The donation was given through ADM Cares. ADM Cares is a social investment program that directs funds to initiatives and organizations that drive meaningful social, economic and environmental progress worldwide. The program comprises three distinct focus areas: supporting the responsible development of agriculture, improving the quality of life in ADM communities and fostering employee giving and volunteer activities.
The campaign to raise funds for the project will begin January 3, 2017. Please make your secure online donation today by clicking here. The HACF is a fund of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation.
